All around us there is a hidden world of extraordinary complexity and beauty - the realm of fungi. From the intricate networks that connect ecosystems to the prized edible specimens that grace our plates, fungi may be nature's most fascinating yet least understood kingdom.

Join us for one or both of these exceptional workshops led by acclaimed mycologist Alison Pouliot. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, land manager, curious forager, or photographer, these workshops offer rare insights into the remarkable world of fungi. Learn to identify local species, understand their crucial ecological roles, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world around you.

With Alison's expertise and engaging teaching style, you'll gain practical skills in fungal identification while discovering the vital roles these organisms play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. These popular workshops consistently sell out, with participants praising them as a perfect blend of hands-on learning, scientific insight, and field experience.

We are pleased to offer two workshops at Wooragee this May:

Sun 18 May: Slow Mushrooming: Mushroom Identification Workshop

Both workshops will include a morning session in the hall, including hands-on with extensive fungal specimens, a break for BYO lunch and in the afternoon a field trip nearby.
Participants are welcome to bring fungus specimens to the workshops for identification.
