Fungi Town Adult's Workshop
Event description
Fungi Town is an art space on wheels enticing visitors into a fascination and deeper understanding of the role of fungi in an ecology. It is a reminder of the network of entanglements within eco-systems that we are a part of.
The Fungi Sculpture workshops are a knowledge sharing experience where visual images of the wonderful diversity of colour, form and function of fungi are shown as inspiration before making begins.
Using paper and tape you will make mushroom forms, then colour them in with oil pastel. You can leave them as part of the caravan's fungi diorama or take them home.
Fungi Town is a joyful colourful work that operates on positive connections to cyclic systems that our world operates under by sharing knowledge and triggering connections with a deep respect for nature through art and science.
Afterwards please join us in the Incinerator Gallery garden for a glass of wine and a chance to talk further about fungi with the artist, Kathy Holowko.
