Funkatu is an original bush funk band combining hip hop, reggae, soul, ska, and EDM into a delightfully delicious explosion of funky goodness guaranteed to get your booty shakin’ .. Led by songwriter Louey Howell on drum kit and didgeridoo, Dan McCosker on de funky bass, Hannah Harlen on sweet electric guitar and vocals and Ahva Dub on synths and jazz bansuri.
Louey Howell & the Funkatu Collective are touring their latest single Funky Bus up and down the East Coast. Funky bus is a song about letting go of your inhibitions and having a good time on the dance floor. We are all individual characters and when we let our inhibitions fall away our individuality shines and that's what makes us beautiful, our individuality, our character, the inner freak. We want to see you set it free and shine! and that is really what this song is about.
