In The Hole: DJ GayBash! 

DJ GayBash! (ig: @djgaybash) is a Black, Queer, Non-Binary up and coming DJ in the Chicago scene. The name “DJ GayBash!” comes from their blending of genres with strong queer followings such as Female Rap, R&B, and K-Pop with the queer pioneered sounds of House, Techno, and Hyper-Pop.

Artist Popup by Mikey Anderson 

Mikey Anderson (ig: @yarniesbymikey) is a queer art therapist from the South Side of Chicago who graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in fine art and an MA in Art Therapy and Counseling working at Wellness Home Chicago.

Their art practice is informed their my community-driven art therapy practice, which incorporates illustrations, fiber crafts, queer theory, and activism. Their artworks range from embroideries and quilts to comics and a handmade plush toy line called “Yarnies.” Their artworks are soft, cuddly, and invite participation. They entice people to come close, where underlying messages about Queer advocacy become evident.

FOLKS OF ALL COLORS / BACKGROUNDS / ETHNICITIES / WEIGHTS / ABILITIES / BODIES / GENDERS / GENDER EXPRESSIONS / FINANCIAL CAPABILITIES ARE WELCOME AND WANTED AT FUNKSTICK!
