IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Due to a major mechanical issue beyond everyone's control, The Hole will not be able to open for FunkStick this evening. That means there will be no Play Area at the party tonight.

It also means that we are going to have to reschedule the DJs slated to spin vinyl. The digital DJs scheduled to play in The Hole will now play upstairs on the main floor.

I'm sorry about this, but there's nothing we can do to fix it before the party this evening, If you bought a ticket for tonight and would like a refund, please email us using the link in your ticket email (conniekwaylewd@gmail.com) and I will make sure you get your money back.

FunkStick is excited to welcome over 20 DJs to our first ever DJ Showcase!

This party is going to be a bit different the typical FunkStick. We are welcoming both new and experienced DJs to share their talents with us. Expect musical genres to change as the night progresses. Some of these folks will be doing this for the very first time in public. Please keep in mind the nature of this night and show them love and support.

Restored Succulents & Houseplants by Luv to Succ (ig: @luvtosucc)

Kenni Terrell (they/them) was never really good at taking care of plants...until they discovered a knack for succulents! As someone who leanred how to have a green thumb, most of their shop has easy-to-care-for and low-maintence plants. Perfect for first timers. Typically Kenni nurses plants found back to health or helps care for their friends plants when they're away - offering tips for longevity!

Bootblack Pup Finch (ig: @canis.aves)

Wintertime slush and salt got your boots looking sad? We've got you.

Pup Finch (he/it) entered the Chicago leather scene all the way back in 2022, finding puppy play and bootblacking to be the first and strongest places he would call home. Service is what guides its heart and paws, from shining up a virginal pair of boots to rubbing some love into decades old gear.

It loves offering self-care through taking a moment to sit down, talk about bootblack skills, life stories, or have a moment of quiet backed by brushstrokes. He wants to extend the welcome, safety, and comfort he found in the community most especially to the kinksters like himself: trans, disabled, and POC - and what’s more welcoming than a wagging tail?

This dog hops from concrete floors of DIY queer spaces to living room rugs to the stands of Open Shine at IML; really just anywhere that will open space to have a bootblack care for leather, latex, harnesses, hoods, and yes, even crocs. Whenever needed, Pup Finch and his lovely assistant/bootblack kit, Huberd the Horse, are ready to serve.
