Ten years ago, a wild idea spawned in Huntington, West Virginia. What began as a small gathering of musicians, artists, dreamers, and funkateers has leveled up into one of the region’s most beloved independent music and arts festivals.

Now it’s time to unlock the next level.

This October 2–3, 2026, the gates to the Funktaverse open once again at Ritter Park Amphitheater as Funktafest celebrates its 10th anniversary with its biggest adventure yet.

Your guides through this pixel-powered realm are none other than the legendary duo themselves: Funkle Sam and Eye Guy. Together they’ll lead you through a world filled with live music, visual art, side quests, power-ups, hidden treasures, and unexpected encounters around every corner.

Along the way, you’ll discover an unforgettable soundtrack featuring national, regional, and local artists including Magnolia Boulevard, The Kind Thieves, Freekbass, The Settlement, The M.F.B., Dinosaur Burps, The Heavy Hitters, Friendly Fire, Here KeKe, Mr. Awful, Mamba Beatz, Future Anonymous, KiTANA, Baedizzle, and Arcana.

But Funktafest has always been about more than the music.

Funk, rock, soul, jam, hip-hop, electronic music, and genre-defying performances from some of the most exciting artists in the region and beyond.

🧘 FunkYoga

Begin each day by restoring health points and aligning your mind, body, and spirit with a community yoga session near the Main Stage.

🎨 Visual Art & Creative Experiences

Explore immersive installations, projection mapping, live painting, and interactive artistic experiences throughout the festival grounds.

🛍️ Arts & Crafts Village

Discover handcrafted treasures, original artwork, community organizations, and unique creations from talented makers throughout the region.

🍔 Food & Beverage Vendors

Refuel with a variety of food trucks, desserts, beverages, and festival favorites.

🚌 Funky Bus Stop

Hop aboard and let someone else handle the driving. Convenient shuttle service between Marshall University and Ritter Park helps you skip the parking hassle and arrive ready to press start on your Funktafest adventure.

🎧 Silent Disco (Saturday Only)

Equip your headset and enter a bonus level where multiple channels compete for control of the dance floor.

👾 Power-Up Pit Stop

Recharge. Refuel. Respawn. Power up your devices, challenge friends to retro video games, grab a snack, and save your progress before heading back into the action.

👧 Funky Kidz Korner (Saturday Only)

A family-friendly zone packed with creativity, imagination, interactive activities, and fun for funkateers of all ages.

Take on a casual 9-hole quest through the scenic hills of Ritter Park.

🔥 Flow & Fire Performances

Witness dazzling displays of movement, light, and skill as performers illuminate the night.

Leveled pricing is in effect. The earlier you join the adventure, the more you save. Once a ticket level sells out, the next level unlocks.

Whether you’re a first-time player or a longtime member of the FunktaFam, Funktafest X is an invitation to join a cooperative adventure built on creativity, connection, and community.

Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Leashed furry companions are welcome. Outside coolers are prohibited, though sealed water bottles are permitted.
