The Funkies are known for their fun and energetic live sets. From the traditions of early jazz, rags, spirituals and soul and blues they create a unique sound full of freedom, an energy and the big sound of brass.
The Funkies play some of Trevor’s originals, reinvent some modern classics and touch on the music arising from the early jazz tradition.
Fronting the Funky Butt Club is Pearl, a vocalist who is already a veteran of performance at 18.
The Funky Butt Club is a kinda family band, it being led by Pearl’s dad Trevor Hart. Known mostly for his work with his freeform jazz quartet during a longtime residency at Ric’s Cafe (back when the Valley was cool), Trevor now explores his own diverse musical origins.
Spend a Saturday afternoon up close and personal listening and dancing to the Funky Butt Club.
