Furoshiki Giftwrapping
Event description
Join Japanese artist Nami Osaki for her sustainable Furoshiki gift
wrapping workshop. Furoshiki is a Japanese traditional cloth wrapping
that is eco-friendly and mostly used for wrapping gifts and carrying goods.
During this workshop Nami will share her knowledge of traditional and modern Furoshiki
art techniques for wrapping different shapes and sizes of gifts, and also making many
types of sustainable carry bags.
You will also be introduced to some easy up-cycle techniques to create your own unique
Furoshiki with things you already have at home!
Note: All the participants need to bring 2 empty wine bottles and 2 regular size rectangle tissue boxes.
