Do you want to learn belly dancing and tribal fusion belly dancing techniques having fun at the same time? Look no further.....
Join me for this 5-weeks fusion belly dance immersive course. 5 weekly classes of one hour and a half each in Byron Bay.
During this immersive course we will go through some rhythms and musicality, belly dance and tribal fusion technique and we will learn and fun and dynamic drum solo choreography. Hip movements, sharp isolations and shimmy will characterize this choreography, connecting us with the fire elements and with the power of the darbuka, traditional Arabic drum using for belly dancing.
The lesson will include a warm-up, a techniques and movement break down session, choreography and a short cool down.
The course is open to every level. A previous knowledge of belly dancing is preferrable but not essential.
Drop in accepted at the price of $35 per class but since we are studying a choreography it is preferable to sign up for the whole course.

A little bit about me:
Carlotta Menna was born in Rome. As a child she studied music and piano, she has been in contact with Arabic culture since she was a child travelling Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Turkey. At the age of 12 she started studying ballet and modern jazz.
She started studying belly dance in 2006 and tribal fusion in 2009.
Carlotta is part of Shadì dance company, a contemporary and tribal belly dance company based in Rome. They organized theatrical shows, workshops and performances in Rome and in numerous festivals around Italy.
Since 2009 Carlotta has been regularly performing as a solo and as a company member in Italy and around the world (Spain, Croatia, England, USA, Australia, New Zealand) in festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, events, restaurants and private functions. Since 2010 she has been teaching regular classes and thematic workshops of different styles for groups of different sizes and ages.
In 2014 she went travelling Australia and New Zealand, where she created collaborations with musicians and performed and held workshops at different events and festivals, and she is currently based in Byron Bay, Australia, where she regularly performs with her fire troupe Enchanted Embers.
In Australia she also started studying and teaching yoga. She is a qualified Hatha and Vinyasa 200h yoga instructor plus 75h specialization in Aerial Yoga and SUP Yoga.
She is also dedicated to circus arts, such as aerial acrobatics (aerial silk, aerial lyra) and fire spinning, which she often fusion with belly dance.
