Future Council - a free SoHo screening
Event description
Come together with neighbours, old mates and new friends to watch “Future Council”. There is a special screening of this highly-acclaimed documentary by Australian director Damon Gameau ('That Sugar Film' & '2040') on Saturday, October 18th, at 3.30pm at Back Studio in South Hobart (just next to Darcy Street Park).
The movie follows the quest of a group of children across Europe in a school bus powered by biofuel. Their mission is to better understand the planet’s predicament, explore solutions and take the conversation from the classroom, into the boardrooms of some of the world’s largest polluters and most influential companies.
The film premiered at the UN General Assembly, and is now being screened in select cinemas across the country. The SoHo screening is being organised by the South Hobart Sustainable Community group to inspire local people of all ages.

The film is rated PG, and open to kids and adults alike.
