Phantom Femme Fatale
Not to be dismissed as a sexist figure of male fantasy, the ‘Phantom Femme Fatale’ is a subversive character who transgresses female subjugation with assassin-like stoicism. Defiantly exploiting her physical prowess she pays homage to stigmatised displays of femininity. Choreographed and performed by Jenni Large, this haunting performance-art-dance straddles the entanglement of sex and power.
Carrying the theme from the evening into the night, Beatrix plays subversive, empowering and sexy beats produced by femme hip hop and electro dance artists from the naughties and now.
