AUT’s School of Future Environments, in partnership with MATES in Construction, is proud to host the next Thought Leadership event: Empowering Innovation and Well-being through Systems Thinking.

This event brings together researchers, industry leaders, and community partners to look at the practical tools and collaborative approaches that can strengthen both innovation and well-being in the built environment sector.

Drawing on the recent MATES survey findings, speakers and panelists will share insights on peer support, resilience, and mental health in construction and engineering – alongside perspectives on how systems thinking and cross-disciplinary collaboration can drive change.

The evening is about more than discussion: it’s about building partnerships that connect students to industry, and research to practice, with a shared focus on creating healthier, more sustainable futures for our sector and our communities.
