A fabulous afternoon of musical delight!

Canberra’s finest cross over act Cassidy’s Ceili play Celtic and contemporary folk music with such energy and panache that you can’t resist partying along with them! A highly interactive performer, Cassidy enjoys getting to know the audience and her superb lead vocals will take you from delicate ballads to full-on party, with everything from Danny Boy to The Pogues!

The band are all consummate professional musicians with many years of experience. The Band’s guitar, bass, drums and 3 part vocal harmonies are a delight to hear and leave you both entertained and with uplifted spirit!

Sandy Gibbney stars on the fiddle, turning out jigs, reels and airs from Ireland and Scotland (and a hair-raising version of the Orange Blossom Special). Peter Richens plays guitar and banjo, while he and Sandy harmonise with Cassidy for some fine three-part vocals. Jon Jones and Ian Blake toured for many years as drummer and bass player with Eric Bogle, and have a great time providing the groove for Cassidy's Ceili. Jon steps forward from time to time to play that Irish drum, the bodhran, and is known to wander around the audience playing the washboard when the mood strikes!
