Future Mundaring - Identity - Workshops

NB: Although sessions are being held across the shire, you do not need to attend a session in your local area. In fact, we encourage a mix of people from different suburbs in each workshop.

The Shire of Mundaring is embarking on an important community conversation about our identity and future: what we value, what makes our places distinctive, and how we want to respond to growth and change in the years ahead.

These workshops provide an opportunity for residents, community groups, businesses and local stakeholders to help shape a shared vision for the future of the Shire. Together, we will explore the characteristics, stories, landscapes, facilities and community values that define our places and contribute to a strong sense of belonging.

The sessions will focus on identifying what makes our communities unique, celebrating local identity, and establishing a framework to guide future planning, investment and activation of public spaces across our three place areas: Foothills, Hills and Rural. Insights gathered from the workshops will help inform future place-based guidelines and priorities, ensuring that growth and development reflect the character, values and aspirations of local communities.

This is your chance to help define the identity of your place and contribute to a long-term vision that will guide future investment, planning and community outcomes across the Shire of Mundaring. By participating, you will have the opportunity to contribute local knowledge, share your experiences and help influence how our towns, villages and public spaces evolve over time. Whether you are a long-term resident, a new member of the community, a business owner, or someone with a passion for the future of the Shire, your perspective will help ensure that future decisions are grounded in the qualities that make Mundaring a special place to live, work and visit.
