Future Mundaring - Identity
Description
What makes your community feel like home?
Is it the natural environment?
The people?
The character of your town or village?
The places you gather, connect and spend time together?
As part of the Shire's Future Mundaring journey, we're inviting residents, community groups, businesses and local stakeholders to join a series of interactive workshops, focus groups and roundtables exploring what makes our communities unique and what we want the future of Mundaring to look like. Over the coming years, the Shire will be making important decisions about housing, growth, community facilities, public spaces, local identity and the services and infrastructure our communities will need. These workshops are an opportunity to help shape those conversations from the beginning.
Together, we'll explore the stories, values, experiences and characteristics that define our towns, villages and neighbourhoods. We'll discuss what should be protected, what opportunities we should pursue, and what we'd like future generations to experience when they live, work and spend time in the Shire of Mundaring.
Your ideas will help build a shared understanding of what matters most to our communities and will inform future Place Plans, planning projects and investment priorities across the Shire.
Whether you've lived here for decades, recently moved to the area, run a local business, volunteer in the community or simply care about the future of Mundaring, your perspective is important. Local knowledge, lived experience and community aspirations all play a valuable role in helping shape the decisions that lie ahead.

These workshops are about more than planning documents. They're about understanding what people value, what they want to see thrive, and how we can work together to create a future that reflects the character and aspirations of our communities.
