Future Mundaring - Identity - Focus Groups
Description
What helps people feel connected, supported and included in our community?
A strong community means different things to different people.
For some, it's having access to services and facilities that support daily life. For others, it's feeling connected to neighbours, being able to participate in community activities, or knowing that local places are welcoming, accessible and inclusive.
As part of the Future Mundaring journey, we're inviting people from a range of backgrounds and life experiences to participate in a series of community focus groups exploring what contributes to quality of life, community connection and a strong sense of place across the Shire.
The Shire of Mundaring is embarking on an important community conversation about our identity and future: what we value, what makes our places distinctive, and how we want to respond to growth and change in the years ahead.
These focus groups provide an opportunity for people with particular lived experiences, perspectives and needs to contribute to the conversation in a more focused setting. The sessions are designed to ensure a broad range of voices are heard and that future planning, investment and community development decisions reflect the diversity of people who live, work and participate in the Shire.
Together, we'll explore what helps people feel connected, supported and able to participate in community life. We'll discuss the opportunities and challenges facing different members of our community and consider how future planning and investment can help create places where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can thrive.
