The night time is no longer the right time! Discerning youths and astute aesthetes the world over are rejecting the overrated evening hours and instead focusing their artistic and intellectual endeavours on a new time of day altogether - the afternoon!
No longer is the afternoon a time for tedious chores and even more tedious television. The hours between noon and dusk are now when the sophisticated set choose to party down!
To better exalt the afternoon hours, three of Brisbane's most esteemed underground ensembles - retrofuturistic synthpunk cybersurfers Future Shocks, debonair post-garage mindwarpers Eyes Ninety, and tasteful-yet-tuneful punk rock kickflippers Mistakes - will team up for a New Wave Matinée on Saturday September 20 at Woollongabba's already-iconic Cave Inn.
Attendance is only $15 for adults or $10 for under-18's (who must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian). No one will be turned away due to lack of funds, so if you are unable to afford this please get in touch with the bands via the usual channels or simply show up on the day.
The Cave Inn's excellent selection of delicious pizza and beverages will be available all day.
