EVENT DESCRIPTION

Howdy! 

Thursday June 10th is the date of the first ever “FutureSeeds LIVE: Ideas in Action” workshop! 

We will meet to bring to life ideas inspired by the FutureSeeds LIVE event and transform them into actionable initiatives and projects in our local community. Did not attend the FutureSeeds LIVE event? No worries! You are welcome to bring your fresh ideas and drive to the workshop and work with us to kick start the next generation of local projects. 

The theme for the workshops is: "Act Local" and the focusing question: “How might we create resilience in our local community?".

Another way to put it would be:

"How can we harvest already existing ideas, projects and entities in:

- community-building (council projects, non-for-profit organizations, clubs, entertainment industry, etc.)

- business infrastructure (incubators, investors, government aid, etc.)

- local food infrastructure (farmers, markets, grocery shops)

to ensure the Byron Shire (and more generally the Northern Rivers) can be an efficient, resilient and even thriving community in the future?

How can we best harness all of this energy, optimize the process, while still making sure we are not re-creating the wheel?"

As usual, our event will provide a great atmosphere to enable us to learn, support each other and network, and help great projects come to fruition, empowering each other and the community at large.  All are welcome to join! The more, the merrier!

Arrive on time! We’re respecting everyone’s schedule AND the schedule of the event. The event runs from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. Come dressed. Do NOT come in your pajamas. Make an effort, this is an occasion to get that nice shirt or dress out of your dusty closet.

The ticket price includes a yummy vegan dinner. BYO drinks. Book early as it makes it easier for us to organize catering and room capacity. 

The Work Pod will host our event. The address is 12 Centennial Cct, Byron Bay NSW 2481.
