AN EVENING WITH GABRIELLA COHEN

Sara Yael - 6:30- 7pm
GC- 7:30- 8:30pm
_______________________

Gabriella Cohen plays music which is all-at-once laid back, tongue in cheek and earnest, peppered with 60’s girl groups and a love for Lou Reed. She is known for her magnetic performances, drawing in audiences effortlessly with her off-hand charm and brilliant songwriting.

Hailing from a tiny permaculture village you definitely wouldn’t have heard of somewhere in Australia’s South East Queensland, Gabriella has self-produced three internationally acclaimed records to date (Full Closure and No Details, Pink Is The Colour of Unconditional Love, Blue No More).

She’s toured the world and shared stages with Paul Kelly, Big Thief, Brian Jones Town Massacre, Foxygen, Marlon Williams, Alice Phoebe Lou, Devendra Banhart and Babe Rainbow.

Rolling Stone predicted she’ll be a household name in no time and Pitchfork hailed her as a ‘clever and wise-cracking songwriter’.

Don’t miss the chance to see Gabriella play an intimate, solo show in her hometown, debuting brand new songs before heading into the studio to record them.

Support by the one and only Sara Yael.

SARA YAEL

Sara Yael is no stranger to the stage; after a decade of touring as the front women of cabaret band Rapskallion, she has hung up her sequins, picked up an electric guitar, penned hundreds of songs and done it her own way.

Sara sings songs of real-life scenarios laced with poetic metaphor and heart throbbing lyrics. Harnessing old time jazz, a whole lotta soul, whisky drenched blues, and a once broken heart, Sara will be sure to serenade you.

In late 2023, she made waves with her debut hip hop track, “QUEEN,” co-produced by Gabriella Cohen, receiving widespread acclaim in cult circles.

“She has the voice of a sixties soul singer with the vocal inflections of Tom Waits and the delivery of Bob Dylan when he first picked up an electric guitar:” — MOJO MAGAZINE
