Galaxy of Art: A Monologue Madness Fundraiser

Monologue Madness, DC's annual tournament of acting, celebrates 12 years in our nation's capital and is proud to announce its 2024-2025 competition season with stops in DC, Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Our first-ever fundraiser, Galaxy of Art, will help transition Monologue Madness into a 501c3 non-profit theatre and film competition and will welcome the Monologue Madness Mid-Atlantic High School Challenge to the roster in 2025, taking place on the campus of the National Cathedral School and the Theatre of the Arts at the University of the District of Columbus, bringing 192 young theatre artists to Washington, DC!

Galaxy of Art will feature a happy hour evening of complimentary food, cocktails, and monologue performances from the past 12 years of competition. 

100% of fundraiser proceeds will provide creative support to produce Monologue Madness in five US cities, award five new winners in the professional theatre and film division, in addition to awarding a new high school champion and four high school scholarships to young theatre and film actors.  The fundraiser evening will also support the hiring of over 40 artists, over 50 staff, and over 10 teaching artists throughout five cities during the 2024-25 season.
