Join us on Saturday 22nd August, 2026 for Galaxy Games Festival - Macquarie University's premier games fest, co-designed and co-run by Game Development students and educators. We are partnering with Women In Computing Society at Macquarie University to bring you this event.
This event welcomes emerging game developers and anyone interested in broadening their understanding about what the games industry encompasses, and exploring how the various aspects and fields of game development come together to create a refined, finished product.

- What can I expect to see at the event?
Exhibition floor
We have project showcasing at the exhibition floor where games, animation and music projects are displayed. You will be able to talk to the developers of the project and play unrealsed games, etc. Games and other projects will be announced closer to the release dates.

We have 2 streams of talks and in the main room and one in the second room. We have speakers from game and vfx studios, educators and indie devs doing talks throughout the day. The schedule will be released closer to the event date.

- How do I get to the venue?
There are multiple ways to get to the venue. Best way is to use public transport.

Trains
Please get off at our nearest station at Macquarie University Metro. Then it is a short walk to the building the event is hosted at.
Bus
You can take the bus and arrive at University Avenue, Waterloo Road bus stop. The following bus lines will take you to Macquarie University Campus bus stop.
Transport for NSW operates a regular bus service in both directions (routes: 197, 545, 611, 619, 621, 628, 651, 740, M41, M54) along Waterloo Road.
Bus stops are located outside 44 Waterloo Road; at Macquarie University train station, University Avenue, and Balaclava Road.
Drive
You can drive and park at Macquarie University though we don’t recommend it as the parking fee is very expensive.
