Galilee School is an independent secondary school that fills a unique niche in our local community by supporting the learning of teenagers who have struggled in mainstream school environments. 

Here, at Galilee School, young people can find an alternate path to success. We offer them a second chance (or maybe their best chance) to succeed.

They find a place where they belong, where they’re understood, and where they’re heard. A place where they can build a future they never thought possible. 

Our students find not just a school - but a community that believes in them and their potential, often when no one else does.

1. We create a flexible learning program tailored to each student’s needs.
2. We specialise in smaller class sizes (seeking to maintain a 1 to 5 staff to student ratio).
3. We help students develop their emotional and social skills.
4. We focus on building close relationships with students and families.
5. We provide authentic, real-life training opportunities and job-ready support.
6. We provide a much-needed pathway for disadvantaged students to get an ACT Year 12 Certificate.
7. We provide everything they need for success, including food, resources and equipment.
8. We help students with many areas of their lives outside of school.
9. Our students have a strong sense of connection with us, which encourages healthy behaviours and academic success.
10. We enable former students to stay connected with the school and give them help with job advice.
