Description

Gallery returns to Second Story Studios on Saturday November 14th, riding the buzz of a packed-out Sep 25. It brings Toronto’s Ciel to Naarm/Melbourne for a day into night party running 4pm until 12:30am, stacked with some of the country’s most vital selectors. This one champions an international showcase with home-grown precision across Kia, DJ PGZ, DJ Possum & Myles Mac and Roka off the back of huge tours, plus support from Lex and D-Grade.

Ciel (Cindy Li) is a Xi’an-born, Toronto-based DJ and producer who’s spent the past decade becoming one of the most respected names in the international underground. Since throwing her first party in 2015, she’s built a rich solo and collaborative catalogue from her 2017 debut EP Electrical Encounters through releases on Ghostly’s Spectral Sound, !K7 and Eris Drew’s label, to her celebrated 2023 debut album Homesick. She’s played fabric, Tresor, Smartbar, Berghain’s Panorama Bar and Nowadays, holds a six-year radio residency on Rinse FM London, and co-runs Toronto label Parallel Minds.

Kia’s sound was shaped early by illegal raves and festivals like Japan’s Labyrinth and Portugal’s Waking Life, alongside Melbourne’s park party scene and Inner Varnika - the ecosystem that gave her her first gigs in the late 2010s playing deep, bass-tinged techno psychedelia. Since then she’s landed a residency at Nowadays, played Freerotation, Sustain-Release and Draaimolen, been named Resident Advisor’s Dekmantel Podcast 2024 Mix of the Year, and featured across Mixmag’s Top DJs and DJ Mag’s Ones to Watch lists. She’s also the founder of label and party imprint Animalia and sister platform Cirrus, and now co-runs the annual festival un:send.

DJ PGZ is a Gunai/Kurnai and Yorta Yorta artist, DJ and producer shaping a bold new sound in Australian dance music. Drawing from underground club cultures worldwide, he honours the Black and brown pioneers of dance music while carving space for the next generation of First Nations artists, with a sound that fuses hard techno, bass-heavy syncopations and global club styles. His releases include “The Dance/Hypnotic Suburbs” on Butter Sessions, tracks on HAAi’s DJ-Kicks and Black Artists Database, and “Come Round”, a collaborative EP with Yikes named Resident Advisor’s Club Heater Record of 2025. He’s supported Massive Attack on their national tour and held his place at stages from Meredith Music Festival to Dekmantel Naarm and Pitch Music & Arts, with headline sets in Singapore and Hanoi. He also runs the Ecstatic Mob event series and record label.

Naarm duo DJ Possum & Myles Mac glide naturally between hidden house gems and techy, transcendental club cuts, honing their sound over a decade-plus of highly regarded mixes and deep, percussive extended b2bs. Known for hypnotising dancefloors with globe-spanning selections dialled in from deep within the 90s and early 00s underground, they’ve played Sustain-Release, Strawberry Fields, Hopkins Creek, Pitch Music & Arts and more, alongside their own long-running Melbourne Deepcast mix series.

Roka is a Djilang/Geelong-based DJ and producer carving out a distinctive path in the scene, earning recognition for patiently curated, dancefloor-focused sets off the back of debut festival appearances at Ballista and Strawberry Fields. With a debut vinyl release slated for early 2026, his productions embrace character and subtle experimentation while staying grounded in club mechanics.

Naarm-based DJ, producer and 2 Kisses label head Lex has spent the last six years igniting dancefloors across Australia and Europe, sharing stages with Peggy Gou, DJ Seinfeld, Mall Grab, HAAi and Confidence Man. Her sets oscillate from infectious club anthems to chugging house, disco and balearic, with radio sets on Red Light Radio, triple j, FBi Radio and Threads (London). She’s also released the Ex Ex EP on Gallery Recordings.

D-Grade (Maria Wang) is a DJ and organiser based on Gadigal land in Sydney, inspired by a spectrum of hypnotic, emotive, bossy and beautiful sounds. Their playful yet precise sets drift between frenetic maximalism and intricate minimalism, and have taken in un:send, Soma, Mode, Outsider, Dark Mofo, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne Music Week and Piknic Électronik Montreal. They also host the bi-monthly Close Comforts radio show on Skylab Radio.
