Event description

Can microdata inform new approaches to competition policy to improve consumer outcomes while building a better and more productive economy?

It looks like the answer could be yes.

Please join us to hear why from Andrew Leigh MP, the Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury, and Assistant Minister for Employment, when he speaks about the latest research at a Chifley Conversation we are holding in Melbourne at 12 Noon on Tuesday, 30 January. REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL.

Last year the the Albanese Government launched a review of competition policy settings to help build a more dynamic and productive economy.

Andrew Leigh is overseeing the review. He has continually emphasised that good outcomes for consumers should be both a determinant and outcome of effective competition policy.

Andrew Leigh will be speaking to us about important new data that is emerging as the Competition Taskforce conducts its work. This data could provide new proof points about how competition policy can be harnessed to deliver better outcomes for consumers.
