Game Changers - Leadership Breakfast Series
Event description
At S.Days we know that some of the most profound leadership lessons come from unexpected places. Accordingly, we are delighted to launch the Game Changers Leadership Breakfast Series. Our vision is to bring Tasmanians game changing stories from across the globe to help inspire and grow our current and future leaders.
If we are going to talk game changers, we believe there is no better example than the Australian Women’s National Football Team, the Matildas. Accordingly, we are delighted to announce that our inaugural speaker is Matilda’s star, Tameka Yallop.
Picture this: scoring a crucial goal for the Matildas in a World Cup penalty shootout, propelling the team into the semi-finals for the first time in history—this remarkable feat was achieved by our Game Changer speaker, Tameka Yallop!
With an illustrious national and international football career spanning almost two decades, Tameka made her Matildas’ debut in 2007 and has since played an impressive 148 games for Australia, including four FIFA World Cups.
Tameka’s story is one of leadership and resilience. Despite facing numerous setbacks and challenges, she has continually risen above them. This year, she's set to compete in her third Olympics in Paris. Throughout her journey, she has been an integral part of the Matildas’ movement, which has helped revolutionise women's sports globally.
Join us for an in-depth conversation with Tameka, covering her leadership insights, tips on resilience, balancing family and career, and the transformative journey of the Matildas becoming global game changers.
