game.set.trap presents #trapjazz @ Nietzsche's w/ special guest Ten Thousand

game.set.trap is a soul-jazz collective creating a bridge connecting generations, developing their unique brand of trap-jazz. They perform soulful arrangements of hit songs from Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Doja Cat, Kevin Gates, Fetty Wap, Trippie Redd, Cardi B, Roddy Ricch, Rae Sremmurd, and more. This is jazz for today, playing new hit music as a launchpad for exploration.

Every performance is hot, pulling influences from Bluenote, Revive, and classic jazz with sensibilities to make any room bounce. game.set.trap is about the turn up, introducing trap-jazz in a definitive form since 2013, taking core inspiration from Ahmad Jamal & Oscar Peterson with a hip-hop tinge. For those who share love for hip-hop, soul, and jazz, this collective embodies it with a nod to tradition in taking strides forward.
