Event description
Kaiela Arts Artists this one is for you - come and experience firsthand the bold and playful style of Gammin Threads!
Join us in our studio for a one-of-a-kind workshop in collaboration with Gammin Threads! Known for its fresh designs and cheeky, empowering messages, celebrating First Nations resilience and creativity, Gammin Threads is deeply rooted in culture, identity, and community, blending contemporary fashion with strong storytelling.
This workshop offers an exciting opportunity for participants to create their own custom Gammin Threads t-shirts using high-quality AS Colour shirts.
Led by Yorta Yorta and Taungurung designer Tahnee Edwards from Gammin Threads, this workshop brings together creativity, culture, and community through custom-designed t-shirts featuring designs by Kaiela Arts artists. Tahnee will guide attendees through the design process, utilizing her signature transfer techniques and a heat press to bring unique designs to life. Throughout the session, participants will explore how fashion can be a powerful storytelling tool, blending contemporary design with cultural expression.
This is an incredible opportunity to learn from a leader in First Nations fashion while celebrating the talent of Kaiela Arts artists. Whether you’re an emerging artist, a fashion enthusiast, or simply looking to engage in a meaningful creative experience, this workshop is for you!
