Gang Gang Comedy - Alexandra Hudson

Gang Gang Comedy brings you the best comedians from around the country. This February our headliner is the rising star on the national comedy scene Alexandra Hudson. Local supports will be the hilarious Taylor Coughtrie, super-talented Anneli Cole, clever and funny Leo Amadeus, and everyone’s favourite Felix McCarthy. Your MC for the evening is Suma Iyer.

Alexandra, a woman with a disability, delightfully staggers and stumbles through life's experiences and in 2020 stumbled on to a comedy stage. In 2022 Alexandra became the National winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Raw Comedy Competition and a So You Think You’re Funny finalist at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Alexandra's list of accomplishments include, opening for Hannah Gadsby, writing for ABC Everyday, being featured in the August 2024 edition of T Australia, The New York Times Style Magazine's editorial "Meet The Women Changing The Local Comedy Scene.” Alexandra was the most recent recipient of the Creative Australia’s Arts and Disability Initiative which saw her touring her accessible and Auslan interpreted debut solo hour 'Making Lemonade" throughout Australia, and returning to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe for a full 2024 season.
