Garden Design Club
Event description
Love native plants and wildlife gardening? Want to create a garden that hums, hops, and buzzes with life?
Join us for Design Club — a relaxed, hands-on gathering for Barung’s Garden for Wildlife members who want to explore the art and science of wildlife-friendly garden design.
The session will be hosted by Cam Burton, who brings years of experience in native garden design and ecological restoration. Together, we’ll unpack the principles of creating functional and beautiful gardens that support local biodiversity — from birds and butterflies to frogs and small mammals.
Design Club isn’t a lecture; it’s a conversation. Bring your sketches, photos, ideas (and questions!) about your own garden. Cam will guide discussion and offer practical advice, while members share their own experiences and inspiration.
Free for Garden for Wildlife members. We’ll meet in the Barung nursery garden, surrounded by living examples of design techniques and plant combinations. If the weather turns wet, we’ll move into the Education Zone nearby.
Design Club is an easy way to learn, share ideas, and connect with other passionate gardeners — all while helping grow a network of wildlife-friendly gardens across the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Bring your garden dreams, curiosity, and an open notebook — and let’s design for wildlife together.
