Garden DIY workshop
Event description
Are you keen to practice your DIY skills? Want to do your bit for your community & meet new people? Join us with Glasgow Trades Collective to build bird boxes, and a mud kitchen.
Earlier this year, we asked what you would like to see in your community garden. DIY workshops, play areas for children, and opportunities to connect with nature were all high priorities, so with this in mind we bring you this workshop.
This workshop is beginner friendly, all skill levels (included none!) are welcome & encouraged. Participants must be 12 & over.
This workshop will take place directly after the community meal, which is open to anyone. Come along for a bite to eat, then stick about for the workshop.
Access info:
Kinning Park Complex is fully wheelchair accessible, including toilets.
There is a hearing loop - please let us know if you require this.
Kinning Park has a quiet and prayer room.
The workshop will require use of some hand tools and some power tools. This could require some heavy lifting, although participants will not be required to do anything they are not confident & comfortable with. Alterations may be made to make activities more accessible. All activities will be supported & monitored by an experienced professional.
