ABOUT THE GARDEN EXPLORERS CLUB
Fiftysix Creations with support from Logan City Council's Krank School Holiday Program, invites you to the Garden Explorers Club.
The Garden Explorers Club is an interactive school holiday program where students will discover the world of gardening and learn how to plant seeds, nurture plants and understand how plants grow. Participants will also get to take home their very own seeds!
The Garden Explorers Club is designed for students aged 5 to 17 years.
ABOUT THE DAY
During the Garden Explorers Club, students will learn about the world of gardening. Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of different types of plants, whilst planting and caring for a plant. Key activities:
- Plant Variety Showcase. Our Gardening Experts will showcase a variety of seeds and already-grown plants to introduce participants to the different types of plants they can grow.
- Gardening 101. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance on planting seeds, choosing appropriate containers, and creating a suitable growing environment. They will also learn about the necessary supplies and tools.
- Interactive Planting Session. Participants will have the opportunity to plant their chosen seeds in provided containers or pots. The Gardening Experts will guide them through the process, demonstrating proper planting techniques and seed depth.
- Garden Design and Decoration. After planting the seeds, participants will explore creative garden design ideas. They will learn about arranging plants, selecting miniature decorations, and designing their miniature landscapes.
- At the conclusion of the program, participants will take home their very own newly designed pot along with seedlings to continue the fun at home
