Garden to Plate: Microgreens and Salad Making Workshop

This event has passed Register

Event description

Dig in at this fun, free local workshop with Love Food Hate Waste tutor, Pip.

Learn all the tips and tricks to grow your own micro greens, sprouts, and other salad greens. Together you will make a delicious salad with a wilted green salad dressing.

Improve your health by growing quality food on your doorstep. Growing and picking your own salad reduces the thousands of half used, soggy greens going to landfill, including the plastic bag! Plus, you save money and it is better for the environment.

We'll also talk about effective food storage ideas - how to make food last longer, and keeping waste out of landfill.

Please bring a container, with lid and fork, for the salad we will be making. We'll remind you again closer to the time :)

Hosted by Love Food Hate Waste tutor Pip, and proudly brought to you by EcoMatters, thanks to Auckland Council.
