Gardening with Natives Sunday Talks Program

‘Gardening with Native Plants in the Blue Mountains’ is an event focused on native plants for urban and semi-urban gardens and was first held in 2025.

The event recognises that getting started with a native garden can be challenging including where to buy them. Gardening with Natives brings together four local native plant nurseries, local experts and our local gardeners, to celebrate the beauty of native plants and their potential in gardens.

There are many practical advantages to bringing the bush home into urban and semi-urban spaces including drought resistance. Engaging with and nurturing our local endemic flora also brings a deeper understanding, ownership and connection with our environment.

The Sunday talks program features experts on a range of topics including garden design, plants to attract birds, fire safety and ferns for dark shady spots.

The event is free but we ask that you register to help us estimate numbers on the day.
