    Event description

At the halfway point between the declaration of a climate emergency and Bristol’s 2030 climate goal, join us to take stock of progress so far.

The next few years of climate and nature action are critical if we are to see the transformative change needed in Bristol and the West of England.

Join us at our next Partnership gathering on 20 November at We the Curious to reflect on the progress that has been made, the opportunities to do more and the challenges we face.

The gathering is a space for businesses, community groups and the public sector to come together, share ideas and perspectives, and remind ourselves of the potential of our collective action.

The event will focus on some of the ‘non-technical’ conditions that are essential for the transition to net zero, including community action and leadership, green skills and jobs, and innovative financial solutions.

You will hear from a range of organisations including Bristol City Council, Centre for Sustainable Energy, Eastside Community Trust, Innovate UK, Bristol & Bath Regional Capital, Living Places, The Green Register and the University of Exeter's Sensing Climate project.  The full agenda and list of speakers will be published in mid-October.

This gathering is part of Mission Net Zero, an innovative city-wide initiative helping Bristol to accelerate climate action by addressing the barriers to progress in these vital areas. There will also be discussions in small groups and time to network and make new connections.

After the main event finishes at 5.30pm we warmly welcome you to stay until 7pm for drinks, food and to continue conversations.

It’s free to attend but spaces are limited so do reserve your place.

    Food

The event starts at 1.30pm and there will be drinks and light refreshments available throughout, with the bar opening and nibbles available from 5.30 for the drinks and networking session. All food will be vegetarian, but please let us know about other dietary requirements when you book.  Please note a full lunch is not provided.
