GAWA 2023 TPL#4: Connecting Geography Teachers and Resources for Years 7-10

Professional Learning Focus:

Years 7—10 HaSS curriculum ’Geography focus’ on content, skills and programs.

Target audience: New and returning  HaSS teachers who are teaching Geography. As requested, this is a repeat of TPL#2 from March to provide teachers with an opportunity to plan for 2024.

Note: Participants are asked to bring Geography work samples for discussion.

These can include activities, assessments, mapping skills and/or fieldwork.

Program includes:

• navigation through Years 7 - 10 HaSS Geography syllabus by experienced classroom teachers

• model sample programs and assessments, lesson tasks and useful web sites

• fieldwork and mapping skills workshop
