🌊 Gaza Surf Club - Film Screening & Fundraiser 🌊

Join us for a community screening at Vogelmorn (Upstairs) Wednesday Nov 26th at 7.30pm.

Gaza Surf Club offers insight into the lives of the Palestinian surfing community and their connection to the sea, as well as the ongoing struggles of living under a military occupation. 

Tickets are koha / pay what you can style and will go directly to supporting Sabah Abu Ghanem (a surfer featured in the film) and her family.

What to know for the screening

This is a relaxed event for all those (surfing community or not) who would like to support Sabah and raise awareness about the challenges of attempting to surf under Israeli military occupation in Gaza. 

The venue won't be operating its restaurant during the screening so you are encouraged to BYO snacks or dinner if you wish.

Unfortunately the venue is not wheelchair accessible.

About Sabah

Sabah has been surfing since she was a little girl and has been featured in several documentaries (including Gaza Surf Club). She was taught by her father, Rajab Abu Ghanem who is a renowned fisherman and surfer in Gaza. It was Sabah's dream to start the first girls swim and surf club in Gaza.

Now 26, Sabah has three children and her focus is on the survival of her family.
