Postponed: Central and Northern Victoria Regional Zero Emissions Forum
Event description
NEW DATE TO BE ADVISED
What do we need to work on together to achieve a regional zero emissions economy?
The City of Greater Bendigo, along with the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance and Regional Development Victoria, are inviting government, community and non-government organisations and businesses to a Regional Zero Emissions Forum to identify projects to work on together and positions to advocate for together to reduce emissions across Central Victoria and the Mallee.
Individual municipalities across the Region are working hard to reduce emissions locally. This Forum is a great opportunity to come together to share learnings and create collective projects that can help us all reach zero emissions.
The output will be a Regional Zero Emissions Roadmap identifying the top 10 priorities that will put our region on the path to zero emissions by 2030.
The program:
- What is currently happening in the region?
- Keynote speakers and panel discussions on the regional context, transport, energy, agriculture and opportunities for local carbon offsets.
- Regional action planning and prioritisation.
- Lunch will be provided.
The Forum is being delivered as part of the Greater Bendigo Climate Collaboration with funding from the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership and support from the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance.
This event will be held on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people. The Greater Bendigo Climate Collaboration will work in partnership with Traditional Owners to heal Country.
