GCMAGIC Workshop Series: Mixed Media Collage Workshop

In this workshop, you will experiment creating mixed media art. You will create collage paper and mount it on a substrate. You will explore creating art in a fun intuitive way without judgement and then simplify it using negative space. 

This workshop is a fun, fast pace, no fuss and no rules wild ride, followed by a simplifying process that will allow all the fun to pick out through, by the use of negative space. You will experience the process and joy of creating a fast-paced abstract, using different mediums such as acrylic paints, collage, markers and mark making tools.

All you need is a sense of humour, a fun attitude and the ability to make LOTS of happy mistakes! 

At the end of the workshop, you will have your own piece of collage art that will be part of an exhibit at the Robina Community Art Gallery in August, organised by GCMAGIC.

About the artist:

Debbie Schreiber Pniel is a Gold-Coast full time abstract mixed media artist. Using different mediums, Debbie explores how opposites like chaos & order, softness & sharpness, light & dark create beautiful transitions and interactions between elements.
