Launching your own small business can create new opportunities and alternative income streams for yourself. This practical, step-by-step course will guide you on how to launch and grow your small business ideas or take a step back and give your existing business a revamp.Â
Use the practical information provided and the support of your instructor and classmates to grow your business, regardless of what stage it is at now.Â
To access this course for free you must be a South Australian resident (or hold a valid work or study visa), aged 18 years or older and preparing for work or study, and not enrolled in school or a Flexible Learning Options program.Â
The 4 sessions will be held on 6 May, 13 May, 20 May, & 3 June.
(No class 27 May)
Each Saturday class will run from 12pm to 5pmÂ
The course topics include:Â
- First steps for setting up your business
- Market research - will your idea work?
- Finding your business niche
- Attracting the ideal customer and exploring your target market
- Designing a standout service or product
- Promoting your business
- Crafting a great pitch
- Building support networks for your business
- Using digital platforms for small business 
- Where do I take my business next?
Our Community Learning mentors and trainers are there to support you every step of the way. Even once the course has finished our mentors will continue to help you, making you feel confident and empowered, and ready to take the next steps in your learning journey or path to employment.Â
You will be required to complete a basic assessment of your reading and numeracy skills before you start. This will help the team identify any supports you may need and ensure that this is the right course for you.Â
