In conversation event at the Regent Cinema, Murwillumbah

Some people just know how to ask the right questions. For one night only Courtney Act will interview celebrated Australian artist Gerwyn Davies whose practice skilfully combines costume-making and photography. Davies stages elaborate self-portraits with extravagant costumes set against surreal backdrops that employ camp aesthetics to disrupt dominant modes of representation. This time we are taking the artist out of the Gallery and making a night of it at the Regent Cinema. Grab a drink and some popcorn, find your seat and enjoy!
