Gear & Beer - Outdoor Clothing and Equipment Swap
Event description
To celebrate Slow Fashion Month our March Green Drinks is something special for those who LOVE to get OUTSIDE - and save stuff from going to landfill!
Back by popular demand, our most requested Green Drinks event is back for 2025!
Come along for a clothes swap with a twist - this time we are only swapping clothes for your next outdoor adventure. That means hiking clothes, ski and snowboard gear, boots, packs, you name it as long as it's for getting out for an adventure! Our friends at Patagonia Clothing and Equipment are hosting us for the night and the good people at Altitude Brewing will have some beers for everyone to keep the swap lubricated.
Patagonia is also going to be screening a short adventure film - so even if you don't have gear to swap, grab a ticket and come along for the show, a drink and a catch-up with the outdoor and sustainability whanau!
This is how the gear and clothes swap works:
👚 Buy a $5 ticket for the event.
👚 Drop your (clean, non-ripped!) items of clothing/equipment to Patagonia at 7pm on March 20th (the night of the event - NO early drop-offs please)
👚 we'll give you tokens for the clothes you donated
👚 You can now 'spend' your tokens on new-to-you clothes!
👚 Your ticket includes a drink, some light snacks & short film.
Please note:
👖 Drop your clothes and gear on the night - please arrive at 7pm so we have time to sort them during the short film
👖 If you don't have any clothes to swap, you can still buy a ticket and come along - there will be a short film and plenty of good chats!
👖 Before you donate any clothes, just think whether you'd be happy to gift them to a friend in the condition they are in. If not, please don't donate them.
** All leftover clothing and equipment will be donated to The Branches Charitable Trust to assist young people into the outdoors who struggle to afford the necessary equipment.
Get in quick - this event will sell out and we'd love to see you there!
