Event description

Gecko Environment Council Assoc Inc (Gecko) will hold its 35th Annual General Meeting on Monday 21st October 2024, at 6:30 pm, with light refreshments from 6 pm, and cordially invite all our members to attend in the Waterside Room, Currumbin RSL.
This is your opportunity to hear about all Gecko’s activities over the past year and welcome to our new Committee for 2024-2025.

At 7.15pm, Safer Wildlife Crossings is the topic of our guest speaker, Christopher Johnson, PhD candidate, Bachelor of Science (Hons) | Road Ecology sharing information about how we can make safer road crossings by the installation of fauna bridges/ underpasses. His years researching this topic and practical experience make compelling listening. His information will assist Gecko in our quest to have a fauna bridge constructed over the Gold Coast Highway from Burleigh Heads National Park to Burleigh Ridge Conservation Reserve.

We look forward to seeing members and friends, old and new.
