Girls with Autism are often diagnosed much later than most boys, and sometimes not at all.

This workshop is for parents, caregivers, whanau and any professionals who engage with children on the Autism Spectrum.

Understand more about girls on the Autism Spectrum and how they may differ from boys.
Learn more about your child's diagnosis, how to recognise their unique strengths and celebrate their differences.
Learn tips & strategies to help girls to navigate life & school, especially those tricky adolescent/teenage years.
Share your experiences with other parents & caregivers who are going through similar challenges and highlights as you

Our Family Consultant Jeanita Cush-Hunter is passionate about equipping our girls and young women with skills for life and leads Children's Autism Foundation's GEMS programme for girls & women on the Autism Spectrum.

This workshop is a great opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, discuss issues, and learn from each other (or simply sit back, enjoy and gain a greater understanding of girls on the Autism Spectrum). Note: you are welcome to attend even if your child does not have an ASD diagnosis or if you are on the pathway to diagnosis.
