Event description
Speed Dating for Kiwis who remember when telephones had cords!
What to expect:
Doors open at 6.50 pm head up stairs. Our hosts will get you checked in and the first drinks are on us. Mingle, or relax by yourself for a short time before the event begins.
Speed Dating:
You'll start the night with one small group discussion, before moving into the more traditional 1-on-1 conversations you'd expect at a speed dating event.
Each table has a set of witty and thought-provoking cue cards, selected to encourage meaningful conversation. Use these for inspiration, or set them aside and have a yarn.
You'll have 10 mini-dates during the event, each about 6 minutes long.
Matchmaking:
We use a gratitude note system. At the end of each round. Write something positive about the person/ the time you shared with them, and leave your contact information if you wish.
At the end of the night, you'll each take home a full envelope of notes, some of which include contact details.
There will be a 10-minute break mid-event.
We encourage you to use this time to freshen up, order more food & drinks, and mingle with other attendees.
Please note:
There are no door sales, so please purchase your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
The dress code is Smart Casual.
*If the event shows as sold out for your gender, please join our waitlist. Our hosts control ticket sales to ensure a roughly even gender balance and will release more tickets periodically.
