Join teachers, school leaders, AI researchers and teacher educators to explore how generative AI is shaping teaching, learning and assessment. Through keynote presentations and practical workshops, you will have the opportunity to network and find out new approaches to ethical AI integration in school education.

The day includes:
An online keynote from Dr Leon Furze on generative AI and neurodivergence in the classroom.
A hands-on session with Ryan Elwell, working through practical classroom applications.
An interactive workshop with Cece Philpott-Cummins on AI Responsive Assessment.
Teacher showcases, in which educators present what they have tried, what worked and what did not.
Findings from our research with ACT teachers on how generative AI is actually being used in schools.
Bring your laptop to participate in the two interactive workshops: Ryan Elwell’s Automate the Grind, Keep the Craft and Cece Philpott-Cummins’ AI Responsive Assessment.

Presented online. 11.45am: Dr Eleni Petraki and Dr Finlay McCall, AI teacher use: Empowering educators. Findings from our study of seventeen teachers. 1.00pm: Cece Philpott-Cummins, AI Responsive Assessment. A workshop. 2.00pm: John Cole, Teaching via AI narratives. 3.15pm: Terry Eveston, GenAI as a Creative Tool in Arts Education: Help or Hindrance. 4.00pm: Dr Puji Sri Rahayu and Dr Eleni Petraki, PICRAT framework for technology integration.

Yes. You can attend in person or online. In-person places are limited; online attendance is available for staff who cannot be released for the day.

Morning tea, a catered lunch and afternoon tea are provided for those attending in person.
- Is the event accredited?
An application for accreditation with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute is being made for this event. Accreditation has not been granted, and we will tell registrants directly if and when it is.
- How will I access the online component?
Online attendees will receive joining instructions and a webinar link by email closer to the event. Please register using an email address you can access on the day.
