Gender Affirming Letters

This workshop is designed to support folks as they take on their medical affirming journey! We are aiming to take away some of the anxiety and stress that can come from trying to understand and provide the correct language around your insurance needs. Most surgeries don't require or need HRT prior and can be covered by insurance. One of the challenges seems to be patient knowledge on navigating some of the insurance hoops and then provider ability to write the letters. 

The course would have the goal of dispelling some myths, then assisting people in writing their letters in an affirming way that would meet insurance requirements, and then patients can take that letter to their clinicians or PCPs for a signature during a visit. 

This class will be offered as a hybrid and a recording will be available for two weeks after the event.
