Generation Flex
Event description
Generation Flex is an exciting exhibition showcasing some of the best emerging talent from the APY Lands, regional South Australia and Adelaide. Presented as part of this year's SALA Festival the exhibition features, paintings, ceramics, weaving and glass. Generation Flex introduces the next generation of First Nations artists and demonstrates the diversity and unique styles from across South Australia.
Artists include, Lisa Khan, a finalist in the The Advertiser Contemporary Art Award and the City Rural Emerging Artist Award 2024, Casseyanne Woods, Megan Lyons, Janie Kulyuru, Emma Singer, Betty Campbell and Pauline Wangin. Also exhibiting are a number of artists working in ceramics including Josina Pumani and LeShaye Swan, both finalists in the 2024 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards, as well as Ngarrindjeri artist Tiarnie Edwards and Adnyamathanha and Luritja artist and weaver, Juanella McKenzie.
