Generative AI in Higher Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and What Universities Are Doing Right Now to Adapt will include a review of EAB survey data and provide case studies on how universities are currently using generative AI across teaching and learning, student support, recruiting, fundraising, and administrative efficiency, focusing on barriers to adoption and where the biggest gains are likely to be.

About the series:

The University of Adelaide’s 2025 EAB State of the Sector Briefings are an important and exclusive series of seminars that will provide integral insights and intelligence relevant to staff working across admissions and recruitment, international engagement, partnerships, business development and strategy.

Sessions will offer tailored insights and intelligence focused on local, national and global trends in Higher Education, challenges and opportunities the sector is facing, and current and potential impacts on the sector that education professionals should be aware of in 2025 and beyond.

The seminars will cover topics such as generative AI, new credential design, enrolment trends at domestic and international levels, the future of hybrid working and learning, staff burnout, rising costs of research competition and more.

His studies have explored data-informed decision-making in higher education, innovative academic program design, university budget models, academic organizational structures, managing large-scale multidisciplinary research, and the future of doctoral education.
