Started in 2022 by Lucy Furr, Genesis is a low-stakes open talent night that welcomes any and every type of performer of every skill level- from beginners to professionals.
Drag artists, dancers, comedians, singers, poets, musicians and more! 

Genesis Illawarra is a safe place to try performing for the first time, to practice a new act or material or just to have a fun night out with friends in a supportive, queer-friendly environment- supporting others to shine! But the fun doesn’t stop there- performers can choose to compete for a cash prize if voted best act of the night, winning the title of the evenings Titan! 

Performers must contact host Magnus Opium to secure a limited spot.

Amari bar is not wheelchair accessible- there is a small staircase at the entry to the bar. Our sincerest apologies if this impacts you. Please don’t hesitate to contact Magnus if you have any questions.
