Geoff Achison Friday Night Live@St Andrews

Friday Night Live@StAndrews is the new version of our previous Sunday Sessions, hosted by the Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre. The venue is situated about 40 kms noth east of Melbourne in the foothills of the Kinglake mountains. We are surrounded by a natural bush environment. Our versatile community facility is transformed into an intimate cafe style venue with a really cool vibe. Our aim is to bring the 'city' acts to the people out here.

For this session we are lucky to be able to present Geoff Achison. Geoff is a blues-roots artist best known for his guitar playing and songwriting. Geoff began his apprenticeship with legendary Australian bluesman 'Dutch' Tilders, establishing himself as a fine lead guitarist before launching ‘The Souldiggers’. Drawing upon deep blues, soul, funk and acoustic folk influences, he released his debut album in the early 90s and began touring throughout the USA, UK & Europe. Geoff's music has been compared favourably to major artists such as Eric Clapton, JJ Cale and the Allman Brothers Band. He has won numerous awards for his guitar playing, songwriting and live performances.
